The 19th annual Iowa Breeders Cutting Futurity showed an increase in entry numbers this year.
It paid out very well with $8,000.00 prorated between the entries in all of the Nominated Classes,
plus an additional $1,000.00 Incentive going to the 3 yr. Old Open Champion.
The 3 Year Old Open Champion was “Little Disco Cat” owned by Jim and Joyce Healy of
Hillsdale, Il. and shown by Seth Kirchner of Clarinda, IA. She, also, won the 1st go round and tied
for 1st and 2nd in the 2nd go round.
2nd place was “Saturday Night Bingo” owned by Rodney Wrinkle of Osawatomie, Ks. and shown
by Dean Domann of Gainesville, TX. He, also, won a 2nd in the 1st go round and tied for 1st and
2nd in the 2nd go round.
3rd place was “Sanjos Little Lena” owned by Steve Carnine of Ankeny, IA. and shown by Dave
Borness of Murray, IA. He didn't place in either go round, but his total score won him 3rd in the
finals.
“Lidos Dual To Play” owned by Jerry & Virginia Williams of Corydon, IA. and shown by Rick
Williams of Chariton, Ia. won 3rd place in the 1st go round.
“Smart Mates Comanche” owned by Rick Plendl of Kingsley, IA. and shown by Logan Ginkens of
Anthon, Ia. won 3rd place in the 2nd go round.
The 4 yr. Old Open Champion was “Mini Morias Disco” owned by Jim and Brenda Kropf of
Wall Lake, Ia. and shown by Seth Kirchner of Clarinda, IA. She, also, won the 1st go round.
“Mini Mes Mescedes” owned by Arlyn Rustad of Walters, MN. and shown by Tracy Barton of
Pierre, S. D. won the 2nd go round.
The 4 yr. Old Non Pro Champion was “Bay Bull Badger” owned and shown by Curt Eason of
Scranton, IA. He, also, won both the 1st and 2nd go rounds.
This is the third year that the Iowa Breeders Futurity Classes have shown as a Class within a
Class with the Iowa Cutting Horse Association's Futurity. The Show Results & Pay Out for the
Iowa Breeders Nominated Classes are completely separate as are published below.
